Sienna attacks the English - Mar 14 2008
Sienna Miller has apparently launched a vicious attack against the English.

The Factory Girl actress - who is reportedly now engaged to Welsh actor boyfriend Rhys Ifans - has hit out at the English in defence of her new favourite country, Wales, according to The Daily Mirror.

Sienna reportedly told friends: "I love Wales.

"I think it is the most beautiful country in the world and the people were just gracious and lovely considering they have been raped and pillaged by the English for so long."

In 2006 the Layer Cake star was forced to apologise after she called he American city of Pittsburgh as "S*****burgh" while filming there.

The 26-year-old actress is said to have fallen in love with Wales while filming her new movie The Edge Of Love on location there.

The film, which also stars Keira Knightley, is based on the love life of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas.

A source said: "Sienna is so besotted with Rhys that she has decided to learn Welsh to show him the depth of her commitment.

"Rhys and Sienna are looking for a cottage in Snowdonia, a couple of hours drive from his home town of Ruthin.

"They have both become increasingly stressed by city life and the attention they get and they want a retreat together where they can read, cook, and go for long walks with the dogs."

Sienna Miller is apparently set to marry boyfriend Rhys Ifans.

The Factory Girl actress has apparently agreed to tie the knot with the Notting Hill star after turning down his previous proposals, reports the Sunday Mirror.

A source said: "Rhys has admitted he and Sienna are getting married.

"Everything is supposed to be hush-hush, but Rhys is over the moon and finding it hard to keep quiet... he can’t believe she finally said yes."

Sienna, 26, and Rhys, 39, are now said to be looking for a home in Oxford and a cottage in Wales.

The couple began dating last August, though Sienna insisted for months they were "just good friends".

Rhys reportedly began his marriage campaign almost immediately, sending the actress a cryptic message in Welsh which read "Marry the Misfit" in August.

He allegedly proposed again in December at Sienna’s 26th birthday party by hiding a ring in a pile of presents and was also thought to have written a proposal in a song.

Sienna Miller was reportedly devastated by her Baftas loss - as she had been practising her speech for days.

The 26-year-old actress lost out on the Orange Rising Star Award to Transformers star Shia LaBeouf, but according to the Daily Express, she was sure the title would go to her.

Sienna and boyfriend Rhys Ifans, 39, had apparently prepared an acceptance speech especially.

A source told the paper: "Rhys is naturally very funny and helped Sienna come up with a really amusing acceptance speech.

"Sienna practised, with Rhys’ help, for days. Along with a string of gags she was also going to explain how she’d never had any back-up plan for a second career if she had failed as an actress, and she also wanted to give special thanks to her mother and Rhys for all their support.
