Daniel Craig has apparently been given his own on-set gym to keep his body in rippling shape as James Bond.

The 007 actor, 40, is currently filming the new Bond film Quantum of Solace in Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire, and producers have reportedly allocated a soundstage to serve as his personal fitness centre.

Daniel's training area features weights, a trampoline and free-hanging ropes and rings - used in the most gruelling of gymnastics disciplines - The Sun reports.

A source told the paper that Daniel - who had women all over the world swooning when he displayed a toned torso in Casino Royale - also has a running machine, crash mats and support staff to help him train.

"He has an adjoining massage room with his own chill-out area where he will have a physio on call," the source said.

"The stuntmen on the film are all really impressed with Daniel. He throws himself into training and likes to make sure he is at the peak of physical fitness while filming Bond."

And the Hollywood heartthrob's punishing workouts have brought him close to perfecting some of the most challenging gymnastics moves around, according to the on-set spy

"The 'crucifixion' move on the rings is regarded as one of the toughest for a male athlete in any sport. It's the ultimate test of strength and control. And Daniel is close to mastering it."

Quantum of Solace is due for release in November.

Daniel Craig is rumoured to be getting married to his film producer girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell.

The James Bond star plans to tie the knot with Satsuki - who has apparently been spotted sporting an engagement ring - when he has finished filming the new 007 film Quantum Of Solace, reports The Sun.

American Satsuki, 29, apparently visits the actor on the Bond set in Panama every day.

A source said: "They are so loved-up. He asked her to marry him and she’s been showing off her beautiful Cartier ring. It has a large diamond solitaire with a platinum setting."

The source told the newspaper that Daniel and Satsuki would like "an intimate ceremony".

The couple met in 2005 on the set of thriller The Jacket in which Hollywood hunk Daniel, who turned 40 this week, starred alongside Keira Knightley.

Daniel’s spokesperson reportedly declined to comment on the wedding rumours.

Daniel Craig is apparently due to celebrate his 40th birthday in style, in the middle of filming the latest Bond movie Quantum Of Solace.

The hunk, who turns 40 on March 2, is said to be planning a sumptuous bash to mark the big birthday, because he feels time is moving too quickly, reports the Daily Express.

Daniel is quoted as saying: "My 40th is in the middle of Bond but I’ll celebrate it the best I can because I’ve a feeling that 49 is going to come around really quickly."

He’s now best known for playing the sauve spy 007, but Daniel said ten years ago he was stuck in a rut. "I was a pain in the a** at 30. I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I couldn’t commit. Not much as changed!"

In his first Bond outing, Casino Royale, Daniel bared his lithe torso in the infamous swimming trunks scene. He vowed he wouldn’t turn to plastic surgery however.

"If it starts to drop, it starts to drop. No one likes to get old and sag - but surgery... that’s not right."
