Cheryl Cole has apparently hit her estranged husband Ashley with a sex ban.

The Girls Aloud singer reportedly agreed to renew her marriage vows with alleged love cheat Ashley - but not before putting him through at least six months without sleeping together.

Cheryl, 24, was heartbroken when reports emerged of the Chelsea defender’s infidelity - but a second wedding ceremony in Newcastle is in the calendar for August, a friend of the couple told The Sun.

"Cheryl has told Ashley there’ll be no sex in their house for at least six months and, although he’s going to find it incredibly tough, he agreed to her terms," the paper quotes the source as saying.

"She wants Ashley to appreciate her and realise what he’s got. But he’s a red-blooded fella and it’s not going to be easy."

The secret nuptials, expected to take place after Cheryl’s UK tour with her band, are said to be 27-year-old Ashley’s last shot at saving his relationship with the Geordie beauty.

The friend went on: "When Cheryl took her vows she meant them. Ashley obviously didn’t - he’s got one more chance to get it right."

According to Star magazine, the Girls Aloud star is unsure about her marriage to the Chelsea star after he allegedly cheated on her.

A source told the magazine: "After another week of thinking about nothing else, she has told those close to her that she is thinking of getting a divorce."

Cheryl has been having a tough time since newspaper reports claimed her footballer husband had been involved in a drunken liaison with a hairdresser.

And it seems nothing has changed since the couple met up after last month’s Brit Awards.

"When Cheryl and Ashley met up, it just confirmed to her that the road ahead is still too difficult," the source continued. "The trust has gone."

Cheryl apparently used her maiden name Tweedy when she arrived in LA to film ITV2 show The Passions Of Girls Aloud.

Her spokesman told the magazine that using her old name "was Cheryl’s choice".

Cheryl Cole has apparently been recording with Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas.

The single, Heartbreaker, has been recorded as part of forthcoming ITV2 series The Passion Of Girls Aloud, according to The Sun.

The newspaper claims the Girls Aloud singer has been using the song to let off steam about her marriage troubles with footballer Ashley Cole, who allegedly cheated on her.

One line from the Geordie is said to be "you’ve been an effing jerk" in response to a line from Will.i.am saying he had cheated.

The show, which features members of the girl band achieving a personal dream, also sees Cheryl, 24, indulging her love of street dancing, the newspaper reports.

"For her documentary, Cheryl was originally just meant to be part of the dance troupe for Will.i.am’s song - but he asked her to do backing vocals," a source told the paper.

"The track is called Heartbreaker - all about men treating their partners like dirt and cheating on them.

"Will sings a line admitting he has cheated and Cheryl sings back that he has been an effing jerk."

And the experience is said to have been therapeutic for the heartbroken Geordie.

"Recording the vocal was quite cathartic for her," the source added. "She used it to let off some steam."
